The scheme "Free Education for Sports Medal Winners / Participants of National/ International Events", introduced by the University Grants Commission, Ministry of Education, aims to assist medal-winning sportspersons pursuing higher education and motivate them to achieve excellence in sports and academics.



The scheme is applicable to national medalists and international participants.



Who can get this financial assistance?



Medal winners at Olympics, world championships at Commonwealth, Asian, Afro-Asian games, medal at Asian Championship (excluding Asian games).



Participation in university games and medal at SAF games.
